Sometimes I consider myself a bit of a foodie. I love living in the city and getting to try all new kinds of food and restaurants. Whenever people ask me for a recommendation I usually have one on hand and love trying new food when I’m traveling.
But I have nothing on some of my friends. There are some people who take food so seriously and I wish I was as put together as those people – as cool. Anyways that’s what this gift guide is all about. Those people who love trying a new restaurant but are also always looking for a way to spice up their food at home.
Sweet, savoury, for the gym and more. Hopefully there’s something here for your list.
Garden in a can
For the foodie who prefers to grow their own spices and make everything literally “in-house” you can grow different organic spices in this set of four cans.
Edible Cookie Dough
If your foodie has a sweet tooth then definitely check this out. There are tons of flavours to choose from and you can customize it as much as you want for the perfect gift.
Pizza Yoga MatKnow someone who loves yoga but also a bit of whimsy? And honestly who doesn’t love pizza.
Salt Sampler Kit
The most extreme foodies who already have everything – salt could really change the meal? I’m not sure. But why not find out?
At a special tea earlier this year my friend and I got to try all these different kinds of jam and it was magical. I highly recommend baking a batch of scones and trying all of these, then try the others on crackers with cheese… now I want to buy this for myself.
Custom Ice Cream Flavours
Same idea as the cookie dough but with ice cream. You can create your own flavour however you want it – every step of the way from choosing whether you want ice cream, sorbet or gelato.
I have this one myself, and it is absolutely amazing. Works so well and I use it constantly. I can’t get enough and basically all vegetables are now spiralized in my house.
For the friend who wants to make fancy cocktails or mocktails, they’ll need the right ingredients.
I have a kit to make matcha the proper way. But if you don’t want to go through all the fuss (and honestly who does) then try this on the go shaker that makes it way easier.
Pickle Gift Basket
Who doesn’t love pickles? Okay I know it’s a divisive food but if you know someone who loves it then they REALLY love it. And they will really like this gift basket.
Pasta Maker and Drying Rack
Do you know someone who really wants to make everything all the way from scratch? Then they definitely won’t settle for grocery store boxed pasta.
Heat Mixing Bowl for Kitchenaid
I’m dying for a Kitchenaid mixer and don’t currently have one. But if you know someone who has one then they will need this. It’s a heated bowl for the mixer so you can evenly heat things and melt ingredients like chocolate without a double boiler.
Best Food Writing
If they own all of the things they need to make the best food and you don’t want to buy them anything to eat then why not let them read about food? This book is a compilation of the best journalistic and critical pieces on food from 2015.
Himalayan Salt Shot Glasses
For someone who is serious about a good tequila shot then they will need the perfect glass to drink it out of. Throw in a bottle of their favourite type for good measure.
Some people prefer to wear their allegiance to food around their neck at all times and make it as public as possible.
Subscription to specialty cook books
You can buy a one year subscription to these books that are way more interesting than the regular offering. Each one is focused on a specific ingredient offering recipes around that food.
Gotham Steel Pans
My partner is absolutely obsessed with these pans. You don’t need to spray them or add any oil or butter. They work incredibly well and are very high quality.
Fancy Artisanal Honey
After you’ve tried your fancy samplers of salt and pickles and jam then why not move on to honey? For the biggest enthusiast of food who truly has everything – why not. You can have it with scones or on crackers or on toast.
What do you think of these? Any foodies you know who would love these options? Friday’s gift guide is for the Disney lover. Make sure that you follow along on bloglovin’ so that you don’t miss any.
