Looking at me, coming through with another what you’ve been missing post! I promised they would be bi-weekly and I’ve actually found them quite fun to put together. The internet can be quite a dark and scary place so I like being able to show you some of the more areas.
Without too much further babbling I want to get into some of the things you’ve been missing online. You’ll also probably notice there’s a bit more Christmas cheer coming though… get excited because Christmas content is coming!
To make you laugh:
Are you watching the good place? You really should be. It’s the best comedy on network today and it’s not just me who is saying that. The first season is on Netflix if you want to catch up. If you’re already caught up they recently put out the gag reel for the first season. It’s so funny.
Did you know there’s such a thing as an Oprah cruise? I didn’t. This story of a mother and daughter going on it together is really funny and heartwarming and heartbreaking. It’s all of the emotions.
To get excited about:
Okay so as I mentioned above I’m very excited about Christmas. There are a ton of new Hallmark Christmas movies being released this year and I am excited. They have already started being released and I’ve already started watching them. All of them and there release times are listed here.
Since I’m already excited for Christmas and have started my Christmas shopping I was very pleased to see I’m not alone. Hannah Gale put up a very early gift guide so that we can all get our shopping going. Or… maybe shop a bit for ourselves in the process oops.
You know what else I’m excited for at this time of year? Movies! There are so many good movies coming out in the next year. But I’m looking ahead and can’t wait for Crazy Rich Asians to be turned into a movie. EW has the first look and it already looks great.
To make you cry:
I don’t want to make you cry too much. So I’ll just give you one piece that’s a little bit emotional. Taffy Brodesser-Akner is one of the most amazing profile writers out there. She spoke with Sam Smith and he cried a lot.
To make you think:
Now if you want something a bit more thought provoking I’ve got you covered. I’ve been thinking about these articles a lot. First an article in Marie Claire about how more women are speaking up about regretting having kids. Admitting it doesn’t mean you like your kids any less. But being a mom isn’t the right choice for every woman – hear them out.
There’s no perfect recipe to having the best relationship – I certainly don’t have it. But this saga in the New York Times told in five parts including some quizzes really does help. It’s something you need to think about if you’re in a relationship. They’re work and this is a mini guide book.
Ever read a piece so convincing you just have to buy what it suggests? This review of Anna Faris’s book makes me want to rush out and go buy it immediately.
What are some things from the web that I might be missing? What did you think about the links I shared? Are you as excited for Christmas as I am?
