I’m definitely not a fashion blogger, but last month I decided to put together a post of all the outfits I’ve been wearing lately. It is one of my most well read posts I’ve ever written and I loved putting it together. My kind friends have been taking pictures of my outfits around town so I thought I’d give you some inspiration for your own outfits.
With the late spring, early summer weather being all up and down it’s hard to decide on the best thing to wear. I get so much inspiration from fashion blogs as I’ve talked about before so hopefully this will give you some ideas of how to get through the rest of the season.
I’ll be traveling a bit in the upcoming weeks so I might put together some of my favourite travel looks to give you some inspiration for your own summer adventures.
These are some of my favourite looks pulled from Instagram and from all of the amazing adventures I’ve been lucky enough to go on lately
I know this was a long while ago. You probably saw some of the photos scattered across my blog but I didn’t actually talk about going to High Park to see the cherry blossoms or my outfit. It was finally starting to get warm here but it was still pretty chilly. You can’t tell but my jacket is actually lined with fake fur. I’ve noticed that a lot of people have a version of this jacket but the zipper isn’t as nice and it definitely isn’t lined like mine is. Or it doesn’t have the cute little sleeve pocket.
Sadly they don’t seem to have it in stock this season but it was so popular, and all the versions at different stores, it will be back. In the mean time I’ve linked a similar one from Topshop.
By the lake
I get to spend time down by lake Ontario sometimes with my partner and it’s the nicest. I feel at my most most relaxed and calm here. It’s hard when you’re an adult to find places like this. So I really treasure it here and I like to dress very casually. But this is one of my favourite all-season looks. I find it so easy to throw on, comfortable and cute.
For the tulips
Oddly I had to travel north to get some warmth. Toronto had such a long, wet spring that getting to go to Ottawa and have it be bright and sunny and warm was such a treat. This outfit was put together with some fun and inexpensive pieces.
Also I asked Raye (my friend in the last picture) where she got her skirt. I’m sorry to report that it’s old so you can’t buy it either.
We went to an “decades” party for my friend’s 23rd birthday. I decided to dress up like the 80s. While you can’t see the whole outfit, I was wearing my ripped jeans from above and black wedges.
I originally picked up a vintage jacket but then didn’t need it and instead wore all my own clothes. Turns out I’m secretly a little 80s rocker at heart.
The Weeknd concert
We went to the concert with my dad and my partner. It was his first time in a box, where I’ve been lucky enough to sit several times. It was such a fun concert, and I completely flipped out when Drake popped out of the stage. If you want to see me freak out like this again in the future you should follow me on instagram (I post on stories fairly often – it’s @lexwhyte, the link is above as always).
My jeans are the ripped ones I’ve already linked in this post. but some bad news, my t-shirt is from the now non-existent American Apparel.
Saturday morning casual
I saw this shirt on so many bloggers and I knew I HAD to have it. It was perfect, it is perfect. It’s so soft and comfy and paired with my favourite comfy jeans makes the best weekend casual outfit. But I’ve also worn it tucked into a skirt to work. It’s easy to dress up or down and boy is it fun.
Jays game uniform
I’ve had a few people ask me what I wear to jays games. I have a couple of outfits, but this one is by far my favourite. The jersey I got at the jays shop, as well as my hat. The tank top is from a store that unfortunately closed (I’ve never been able to find one quite as good) and you’ve seen me link the jeans.
But now as the weather is getting hotter I’m definitely got to need to start wearing shorts or a skirt. It gets so so hot in the stadium.
Definitely the best summer activity. I’ve already been to five games this season and will definitely be at more. If you’re a big baseball fan too let me know in the comments!
Hours on a plane
You’ll have seen this outfit in my last post but I thought I’d go over what I was wearing. I knew I’d be spending most of the day in airports so I wanted to be comfy. Then I was heading to do a tour and fun activities with my friend right away so it needed to be something cute.
I went with this comfy, relaxed look. Not my most high fashion but I save that for the office.
On the last day before I left we were going hiking before I got on a plane. I knew I’d be tired and would essentially crawl into bed the second I got home. So I needed it to be comfy and active. That means Lululemon leggings to me. Obviously I can’t link my sweater. It’s my grad sweater ( says Grads 2016) on the sleeve. It’s the softest thing I’ve ever worn so I’m sorry I can’t find you a similar one.
Which outfit was your favourite? Is there anything I didn’t link that you have questions about?
Let me know in the comments what your favourite thing to wear is.
Don’t forget to check me out on bloglovin’ so you can up to date on all my different adventures and what I’m wearing while I go on them.
