Accident Update and Healing Process by Emily from The Freckled Fox
I’ve been reading Emily for awhile, it started because of her hair tutorials. But as her family grew and evolved I kept reading. Now she’s been through a lot in the past year. To add to all of that – she was just shot recently. It’s not what you would think and she discusses what it’s been like to go through this with people making terrible assumptions. It’s fascinating and you really feel for her.
24 Hours in Paris – The Proposal by Rosie from the Londoner
I love a bit of a romantic story. Rosie from the Londoner writes amazing restaurant reviews, that even if I know I’m never going to go to that restaurant I’m excited to read. It’s beautiful to see her unconventional proposal and ring, such a fun story.
Things That Didn’t Go According to Plan by Chelsea from A Girl Who Loved to Write
Chelsea has had a lot of surprises and a lot of things up in the air over the past couple of years. It’s amazing to see her reflect back on a surprise pregnancy, a surprise move and everything else that’s been going on. Chelsea is so positive, she talks about everything that has been thrown as her as a blessing. Makes you put your own life in perspective.
Women Bashing Women Sucks by Lauryn from The Skinny Confidential
This post floored me. Lauryn was on a business call and the people on the other end spent forever bashing her and saying horrible things about her. She handled the situation with such grace and poise. It’s amazing, you need to read it.
The Money Too Tight to Mention by Lauren from Girl Who Stole London
Lauren is going through something incredibly difficult – she has breast cancer and is dealing with the financial repercussions of that. No one ever talks about that but even in a country where your health care is covered there are still financial ramifications. Lauren goes over these and her experience, ALSO she’s selling t-shirts to survive and they’re super cool.
Why Buying Followers Hurts Your Engagement by Helene from Helene in Between
You can pretty easily tell who are the people who buy their followers – they suddenly jump up but their likes and comments stay low. But some people don’t know how to spot it. Helene is a blogging extraordinaire and talks not only about how to spot it but how it will actually hurt you in the long run (oh and so will ‘like for like’) it’s super smart and sheds some light on something we all see.
